Cheese prices gained back what was lost so far this week. Block gained 4.75 cents closing at $1.8075 with 3 loads traded. Barrel cheese price increased 4.50 cents closing at $1.79 with 4 loads traded. This moves cheese price to the top end of the price range again. Dry whey price increased 0.50 cent closing at 60.50 cents with one load traded. Traders reacted to the increases, pushing price nearly limit up in the November Class III contract with December not far behind. Futures have not been able to hold the gains, but prices remain significantly higher with contracts 2 cents to 50 cents higher. Butter remained unchanged at $1.82 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 5.25 cents closing at $1.5375 with 3 loads traded. Class IV futures are 1-28 cent higher Butter futures are 0.50 cent to 3.75 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.37 cent to 3.00 cents higher.
