Block cheese price declined 2.75 cents closing at $1.78 with 3 loads traded. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.79 with no loads traded. Butter price declined 4.50 cents ending at $1.7750 with 9 loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price slipped 0.50 cent closing at $1.5325 with 2 loads traded. Dry whey price slipped 0.25 cent closing at 60.25 cents with 2 loads traded. Class III futures are 14 cents lower to 4 cents higher with the only gain seen in front-month October. Class IV futures are 1 cent to 15 cents lower. Butter futures are 2.20 cents lower to 0.72 cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.30 cent to 1.00 cents lower. Cheese was unable to breakout of the sideways trading range with butter falling back after an impressive increase earlier this week. Butter and cheese prices just are not ready to trend higher.
