Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Prices Diverge Again

Block cheese price declined 0.50 cent closing at $1.7850 with 3 loads traded. Barrel cheese price increased 0.50 cent closing at $1.4950 with 5 loads traded. Buyer demand was satisfied as only unfilled bids remained at the close in both categories of cheese. Butter price remained steady at $1.8275 with 7 loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price slipped 0.25 cent closing at $1.33 with one load traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 52.50 cents with no loads traded. This had little impact on milk futures are contracts are much the same as they were prior to spot trading. Class III futures are 9 cents lower to 2 cents higher. Class IV futures are 3 cents to 8 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.30 cent 1.47 cents higher. Dry whey futures are steady to 0.55 cent higher.
