Block cheese price increased 1.75 cents closing at $1.79 with no loads traded. The unfilled bid remaining at the close would suggest further upside potential. Barrel cheese price declined 1.25 cents closing at $1.4775 with 2 loads traded. Dry whey price increased 0.25 cent closing at 53 cents with one load traded. The strength of dry whey and the increase of blocks more than offset the decrease of barrels, but again, traders are viewing this as bearish due to the weakness of barrels. Butter price declined 0.50 cent closing at $1.7850 with 2 loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price gained 1.25 cents ending at $1.3575 with one load traded. Class III futures are 19 cents lower to 1 cent higher. Class IV futures are 1 cent to 9 cents higher. Butter futures are steady to 0.25 cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.25 cent lower to 0.25 cent higher. The World Agricultural Supply and Demand report was somewhat bearish, but grain prices are rallying.
