Block cheese price fell 9.25 cents, closing at $1.6450 with no loads traded. An offer pushed the market lower as the seller wanted to move a load but was unable to find a buyer. This is very concerning and indicates there is little fundamental support. Barrel cheese price fell 9.50 cents, closing at $1.50 with just one load traded. This eliminates all the price gain over the past week or so. Aggressive selling erupted in Class III futures with August and September down the daily limit of 75 cents. Futures range from 4 to 75 cents lower. Class IV futures are 12 to 34 cents lower. Butter price declined 2.50 cents, closing at $1.6850 with one load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 0.50 cents, ending at $1.2350 with two loads traded. Dry whey price gained 1.50 cents, closing at 53.50 cents with no loads traded. Butter futures are 0.75 to 2.07 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.85 cent lower to 0.40 cent higher.
