Block cheese prices increased a penny, closing at $1.7850 with two loads traded. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged with two loads traded at $1.53. Barrel price initially increased to 0.25 cent but ended unchanged with an uncovered offer bringing it back down. Butter slipped 0.50 cent, closing at $1.8325 with one load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price gained 0.25 cent, ending at $1.1825 with two loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 66 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures range from 7 cents lower to 15 cents higher with June posting the greatest gain. Trade volume is strong in May and June contracts. Class IV futures are 4 to 5 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.00 cent lower to 0.20 cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.40 to 1.55 cents higher.
