Block cheese price remained unchanged at $1.65 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price declined 2.25 cents, closing at $1.4350 with four loads traded. There was an offer to sell a load of blocks at the steady price with no interest to reduce that offer and no buyers showing up to do any business. Butter price remained unchanged at $1.4525 with three loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 0.25 cent, closing at $1.1525, with five loads traded. Dry whey price declined 0.75 cent, ending at 45.75 cents, with one load traded. Class III futures are 1 cent higher in the November and December 20121 contracts with all other 2020 contracts from 9-61 cents lower. February has taken the brunt of selling with futures losing $1.11 over the past two days. Class IV futures are unchanged to 10 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.70 cents lower to 0.80 cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.13-0.38 cent lower. USDA will release the November Milk Production report this afternoon. I estimate milk production to be up 2.5% from a year ago with cow numbers up 6,000 head from October.
