Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Prices Show Further Strength

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 8 Higher
SOYBEANS: 9 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.30 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.87 Higher
DOW JONES: 160 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 289 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.56 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

The block cheese price increased 2 cents closing at $1.94 with four loads traded. The barrel cheese price increased 4.50 cents closing at $1.8750 with one load traded. The dry whey price slipped by 0.25 cent closing at 74.75 cents with one load traded. Class III futures are 8 cents lower to 52 cents higher. The butter price increased 1.75 cents closing at $2.57 with seven loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk increased by 0.25 cent closing at $1.37 with 11 loads traded. Class IV futures are 6 cents lower with trading activity only in the March contract. Butter futures are 0.50 cent lower to 1.47 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 1.22 cents lower to 0.30 cent higher. The USDA will release the November Dairy Products report Monday afternoon, providing the amount of production of dairy products during the month. The report should have little impact on the market.
