Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Moves Higher

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 4 Higher
SOYBEANS: 9 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $7.50 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $1.82 Higher
DOW JONES: 9 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 16 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $2.12 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 5.25 cents, closing at $1.8975 with two loads traded. Barrel cheese price increased 1.25 cents, closing at $1.9675 with three loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 47 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures were lower but quickly turned higher during and after spot trading. Class III contracts are 13 to 46 cents higher with light trading volume. Butter price declined 1.25 cents, closing at $3.08 with six loads traded. The Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.1950 with no loads traded. Class IV futures have only traded in the July contract with a price 7 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.97 cents lower to 1.45 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.15 to 0.30 cent lower.
