Thursday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Prices Hold

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3 Higher
SOYBEANS: 3 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $3.30 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $1.80 Higher
DOW JONES: 7 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 97 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.72 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Both blocks and barrels remained unchanged at $1.44 and $1.45, respectively. Blocks had 13 loads traded with barrels trading five loads. Dry whey price increased a penny, closing 39 cents with one load traded. Class III futures are unchanged to 31 cents higher. The butter price slipped a penny, closing at $2.93 with five loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk increased by 0.50 cent, closing at $1.1450 with two loads traded. Class IV futures have not yet been traded. Butter futures were 0.45 cent lower to 1.25 cents higher. Dry whey was steady to 1.05 cents higher.
