Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Prices Lower, Butter Higher

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3 Higher
SOYBEANS: 3 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $1.20 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.90 Lower
DOW JONES: 76 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 35 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $1.23 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Cheese Blocks have another day lower, however found buying interest with more volume traded today. Price declined 2.25 cents closing at $1.5275 with nine loads traded and four bids left unfilled. Barrel cheese price moved lower by 0.25 cents at $1.6475 with two loads traded. Dry whey price remained steady at 42.50 cents with no loads traded. Class III futures are 10-17 cents lower with April posting the greatest loss at 16.61. Butter price increased 5.25 cents closing at $2.81 with only one load traded and two bids and one offer left unfilled. Class IV futures are 12 cents lower to 6 cents higher. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained steady at $1.1975 with no loads traded. Butter futures are 1 to 3 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.50 to 1 cent lower.
