Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Continues Higher

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3 Lower
SOYBEANS: 10 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $8.60 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $4.97 Lower
DOW JONES: 46 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 20 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $2.62 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 3.50 cents closing at $1.6350 extending the gain of Tuesday. There was an unfilled bid and uncovered offer remaining at the close. Barral cheese price increased a penny closing at $1.61 with no loads traded with an unfilled bid and uncovered offer remaining at the close. Dry whey price increased 0.25 cent closing at 40.25 with one load traded. Class III futures are mixed with contracts 14 cents lower to 11 cents higher. Butter price remained unchanged at $2.67 with no loads traded. Only an offer was posted during spot trading with no buyers showing up. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 1.50 cents closing at $1.18 with one load traded. Class IV futures are 3-16 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.22 cents lower to 2.17 cents higher. Dry whey futures have not yet traded.
