Friday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Butter Falls Again

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 4 Lower
SOYBEANS: 5 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.10 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: Unchanged
DOW JONES: 308 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 245 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $1.60 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price declined 4 cents, closing at $1.60 with four loads traded. Barrel cheese price remained unchanged at $1.65 with no load traded. The dry whey price increased 0.25 cent, closing at 39.75 with one load traded. Class III futures are 2 to 15 cents lower. Butter price fell 10 cents, closing at $2.60 with three loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk remained unchanged at $1.20 with one load traded. Class IV are one cent lower to 2 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.80 to 2.85 cents lower. Dry whey futures one cent higher in the March contract and unchanged in the rest.
