Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Limited Price Volatility

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 5 Lower
SOYBEANS: 2 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $4.20 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.52 Higher
DOW JONES: 52 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 9 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.63 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

It was another day of limited price movement with both categories of cheese unchanged. Blocks remained at $1.9650 with barrels at $1.80. There were no loads traded. There was an unfilled bid for a load of blocks down at $1.84 and unfilled bids for five loads of barrels. This is a bit unusual and does not provide much reason for traders to get excited about. Dry whey price also remained unchanged at 27.50 cents with no loads traded. This leaves Class III futures under slight pressure with limited trading activity Futures are steady to 15 cents lower as traders have some slight disappointment spot prices are not moving higher. Butter price increased 1.50 cents with no loads traded. One unfilled bid moved price higher with no seller interest. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 0.50 cent, closing at $1.13 with two loads traded. Class IV futures have not yet traded. Butter futures are unchanged to 2.12 cents higher. Dry whey futures are unchanged to 0.50 cent higher.
