Monday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese and Butter Prices Hold

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 1 Lower
SOYBEANS: 14 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $4.50 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.37 Lower
DOW JONES: 8 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 101 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.83 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Both block and barrel cheese prices remained unchanged at $1.99 and $1.8250 with no loads traded. The only activity was an offer for a load of blocks at $2.03 Dry whey price slipped 0.25 closing at 26.75 with 3 loads traded. Class III futures were lower prior to spot trading and remained lower after spot trading. Futures are 6-17 cents lower. Butter price remained unchanged at $2.69 with no loads traded. There were no unfilled bids or uncovered offers placed during trading. Grade A nonfat dry milk price remained unchanged at $1.11 with no loads traded. Class IV futures have only seen trade in the August contract and that is at the unchanged price. Butter futures are 0.60 cent lower to 0.45 cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.30-1.10 cents lower.
