Thursday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Class III Futures Rise

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 10.5 Lower
SOYBEANS: 5.50 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $0.80 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.83 Lower
DOW JONES: 112 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 49 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.92 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Cheese blocks increased 2.75 cents, closing at $1.8250 with no loads traded. Barrels moved 3.75 cents higher to $1.7350 with 11 loads traded. Class III milk futures were 7 to 28 cents higher. Butter price was up 0.25 cents, closing at $2.3325 with no loads traded. March Class IV futures haven't seen any trading yet today, while April and March were unchanged. Butter futures were 0.95 to 1.38 cents higher. Grade A nonfat dry milk moved 1 penny higher to $1.1750 with 4 loads traded. Dry whey was unchanged, closing at $0.4400 with no loads traded. Dry whey futures are 0.85 to 1.57 cents higher.
