Wednesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Milk Futures Turn Lower

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 5 Lower
SOYBEANS: 19 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $4.50 Lower
LIVE CATTLE: $0.17 Lower
DOW JONES: 411 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 84 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $0.06 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 0.75 cents closing at $2.0350 with one load traded. Barrel cheese price declined 1.75 cents with one load traded. Only offers remained at the close with no unfilled bids. Buyers see no need to be aggressive and are purchasing as they need product or to take advantage of lower prices. Dry whey price declined 0.50 cent closing at 33 cents with two loads traded. Class III futures turned lower after being higher overnight and are 4-19 cents lower. Butter price declined 4.75 cents closing at $2.37 with one load traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 3.25 cents closing at $1.21 with seven loads traded. This moves price back to the lowest level since April 14, 2021. Class IV futures are unchanged to 38 cents lower. Butter futures are 0.10 cents higher to 4.75 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.25–0.50 cent lower.
