Tuesday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Spot Prices Remain Choppy

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 8 Higher
SOYBEANS: 7 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $2.60 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.70 Lower
DOW JONES: 354 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 19 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $0.07 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese price increased 2.75 cents closing at $2.2075 with no loads traded. Barrel cheese price increased a penny closing at $1.7175 with 4 loads traded. Dry whey price increased 0.25 cent closing at 33.50 cents with 10 loads traded. Activity had increased significantly from what it had been. Generally, trading activity is limited for dry whey. Class III futures are mixed ranging from 10 cents lower to 9 cents higher. Butter price decreased 0.75 cent closing at $2.4175 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price decreased 1.25 cents closing at $1.2425 with 3 loads traded. Price just cannot find a bottom as both domestic and international demand is reduced. Class IV futures are 6-25 cents lower. Butter futures 1.25 cents lower to 0.75 cent higher. Dry whey futures are 0.02, 0.47 cent lower.
