Friday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Dairy Futures Turn Back

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 7 Higher
SOYBEANS: 10.25 Higher
SOYBEAN MEAL: $4.80 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.075 Lower
DOW JONES: 159 Points Lower
NASDAQ: 581 Points Lower
CRUDE OIL: $3.91 Higher

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Traders were not as interested in cheese spot trading. Blocks slipped 0.75 cents to close at $2.0225 with no loads traded. Barrels declined 2.50 cents to $2.2250 with no loads traded. Class III futures were 7 to 11 cents lower. Butter dropped 5 cents to $3.2175 with one load traded. Nonfat dry milk was unchanged, closing at $1.5400 with one load traded. Dry whey price remained at $0.4225 with one load traded. Class IV milk futures were 3 cents lower. Dry whey futures were unchanged. Butter futures were 0.5 to 2 cents lower. Being different from the rest, nonfat dry milk futures were 0.55 to 0.97 cents higher.
