Friday Midday Dairy Market Summary - Cheese Prices Rebound

OUTSIDE MARKETS SUMMARY:

CORN: 3 Lower
SOYBEANS: 3 Lower
SOYBEAN MEAL: $8.10 Higher
LIVE CATTLE: $0.15 Higher
DOW JONES: 103 Points Higher
NASDAQ: 208 Points Higher
CRUDE OIL: $8.57 Lower

MIDDAY MARKET UPDATE:

Block cheese increased 6.50 cents, closing at $2.1450 with one load traded. Barrel cheese price increased 2.25 cents, closing at $2.1575 with five loads traded. Dry whey price increased 1.50 cents, closing at 50.75 with eight loads traded. Class III futures are 18 cents lower to 4 cents higher. Traders are just not buying into the price rebound, concerned over a repeat of Thursday compared to Wednesday. Butter price declined 2 cents, closing at $2.94 with eight loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased a penny to $1.80 with no loads traded. Class IV futures are 5 cents lower to 6 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.17 to 7.02 cents lower. Dry whey futures are 0.92 to 1.52 cents higher.
