Block cheese price increased 1.50 cents closing at $1.7350 with 1 load traded. Barrel cheese price slipped 0.25 cent ending at $1.3925 with 7 loads traded. Barrels were on a roller coaster with price moving up and down from $1.38 to $1.40 and finally settling at a price in between. This price uncertainty did not provide much support to Class III milk futures, but at least it was only a minor loss in cash. Class III futures are 2 cents lower to 6 cents higher with the only loss being in the December contract. Butter price increase 0.25 cent closing at $1.7975 with 4 loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price increased 1.50 cents closing at $1.34 with 4 loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 48.50 cents. Class IV futures are 4 cents to 17 cents higher. Butter futures are 1.47 cents lower to 2.27 cents higher with the greatest strength in front-month September. Dry whey futures are 0.02 cent to 1.07 cents higher.
