Block cheese price declined 3 cents closing at $1.7125 with no loads traded. Buyers did not even show up during spot trading to place any bids. Barrel cheese price fell 6.50 cents closing at $1.3850 with 7 loads traded. This moves barrel price down to the lowest level since Feb. 24. If price falls 0.50 cent further, it will take price back to levels last seen in August 2020. This certainly was not friendly to the market, pushing futures down significantly. Butter price remained unchanged at $1.7125 with no loads traded. Grade A nonfat dry milk price declined 3 cents closing at $1.23 with 3 loads traded. Dry whey price remained unchanged at 53.75 cents will no loads traded. Class III futures are 39 cents lower to 5 cents higher. The only contract showing a gain in May 2022. Class IV futures are 3 cents to 9 cents lower. Butter futures are 1.27 cents lower to 1.00 cents higher. Dry whey futures are 0.60 cent to 1.47 cents lower. The Global Dairy Trade auction trade weighted average declined 2.9% on the auction held Tuesday.
